PC is posting but will not boot?

Go to solution Solved by MountainPro,

Go into the bios and double check your boot priorities.  Make sure you are still booting to the drive with your OS.

And are you overclocking by chance?

THANK YOU I checked my boot priorities and they were correct but I decided to wipe my MB bios anyway and it turns out that somehow the MB had flashed the bios in a weird way. :)

Hey guys i have a huge problem I was on my PC browsing Newegg and my main screen went black and my secondary monitor went blank except for a flashing _ in the top left corner? Now every time I turn it on i get that same flashing line and no boot ( this whole time my main monitor stays off) Every couple of times i turn it on it tells me that windows failed to book and i can get to my MB bios but cannot get windows to boot!

Any suggestions please help!

Hard drive failure maybe? Or corrupted OS.

Try reinstalling the OS

Hard drive failure maybe? Or corrupted OS.

The HHD is spinning and my boot is on the SSD and that should be running fine but not sure about it. How would I test for the failure of the SSD becasue that is where my boot files are. And i have a new 840 evo should i try to instale the OS on that but im only stuck on that screen with the flashing dash?

Glad to hear it!  Good call on your part to flash the bios.  Sometimes computers do crazy inexplicable things.
