So, Ive got some money to shed towards a new computer, Right now i got a computer that struggles to run chrome.

Now its time ive gotten something nice for myself.

 

Here is what  I would want,

-A Amd Chipset (I understand the way they work and there cheaper)

-If possible Colors are White and black. Straight black works as well,

-A moderate gpu,  I dont need no fancy RTX 2080Ti XL or whatever,

-At least a min of 8gb of ram. 

 

This computer would be used for light gaming, some 3d modeling and coding. as well as school work.

You dont buy a chipset, you buy a board with a certain chipset. You can decide what chipset to get with basic feature requirements, but each board differ in how power bungry of a CPU they can hold while letting the CPUs run full speed and their feature set, say Wifi, number of memory slots, PCIe slots, SATA connector, fan headers, RGB headers etc.

Budget determines how far you can go

but without your budget, I cant give any specifics.

 

if budget allows, you might want to get intel cpu. you said you want to 3d model and code. those are more single threaded than multi-threaded so intel might be better. intel is also more expensive so we need budget.

Sorry for the budget issue, totally forgot, Its around 450, And I dont mean going with an AMD chipset, I would just prefer an AMD Processor since I understand it more than the Intel platform, Im based in Canada, and my 3d modelling wont be much, im not planing on using a really high tech application for modelling.

Honestly with that budget you're really not going to get much. You're trying to get a whole PC for that?

I'd strongly suggest looking to the used market, at least for the GPU.

It's decent but you could stand to spend a touch more on the motherboard, A320 isn't amazing with ram speeds. How much would a B450 Pro4 cost you?

Ok so ive done some digging and found a used GPU, it lowers the price of that giving me more wiggle room to upgrade some other parts,

You're aware that's in USD right? So it's probably about $250 over budget.

Parts wise, the PSU isn't any good, you shouldn't buy a 500GB spinning rust HDD, and the A series motherboards aren't much good.

There's no point in looking at pricing until Black Friday, if you're on that much of a budget.

Integrated graphics for now, and I added dual channel ram instead of single because it's a massive bandwidth improvement. It's agony to use a hard drive instead of SSD, trust me, the savings aren't worth it.

 

As for brands of PSUs, they all make both good and bad units. This PSU is the cheapest I'd recommend.
