Macbook Pro with Valve Index?

If the Index can be used with a (2019) MacBook Pro, what does set up entail? To what extent does macOS limit gaming options and performance?

Here are the specs: 2.4GHz 8‑core 9th‑generation Intel Core i9 processor, Turbo Boost up to 5.0GHz
Retina display with True Tone
Touch Bar and Touch ID
16GB 2400MHz DDR4 memory
Radeon Pro Vega 20 with 4GB of HBM2 memory
1TB SSD storage
Four Thunderbolt 3 ports

Thanks!

The limit is your CPU/GPU, since you can just install windows.

But do you already own the mac then?

You might be alright with everything at it's lowest settings.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

And connections. There is apparently currently no known working solution to connect an Index to a machine that doesn't have a native DisplayPort.

Do you mean that the Intel Core i9 and Radeon Pro Vega 20 with 4GB of HBM2 memory would be limiting? Thank you.

It'll probably do fine on lower settings, but normally you'd want the fastest CPU you could get and at least an RX 5700/XT or 1080ti/2070/super

Any laptop recommendations or PC builds that meet these specs? Thanks again.

What kind of budget/country, and do you really need a laptop?

an R5 3600 + RX 5700 PC is ~$1000, an R7 3700X + RX 5700X would be a tad faster at ~$1200
