overclocking on lga 1156

quick question wouldnt it be quicker and easier to just use auto on the voltage settings because then it would automatically choose the necessary voltages to run my cpu at 4ghz i know its probably a better idea to manually do voltages but i cant seem to get my voltages right my pc keeps blue screening so i was thinking about just using auto on the voltages and if it works like that maybe going in and manually dropping the voltages until i find the lowest voltage it will be stable at im kinda an overclocking noob although i have done it a handful of time i by no means know what im doing also im using a xeon x3470 and i have heard that the xeons are best for overclocking and getting lower voltages because they are the best bin compared to the i7s for lga 1156

i think i know what that is i set my ratio to 20x and then i set my bclk to 200 that would get a 4ghz clock if im not mistaken but that has nothing to do with my question
