Replacement HDD for HP Proliant DL380 G7

Joint_PK

Hi guys!

Im looking for replacement drives for the HP Proliant DL380 G7.

I have found https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-BarraCuda-Internal-2-5-Inch-ST2000LM015/dp/B01LX13P71?th=1

However they say that the server would run on full fan mode when you install these. Is this true? Are there alternatives for around the same price and capacity?

Regards,

Joint PK

i assume you are out of warrenty with hpe, but i would reccomand going with official / verified drives anyways.

i am not familiar with unofficial drives causing fan to run at full, maybe if they would false report the temps... but even so, never herd of it.

i would suggest using the same model as the original drive, just off amazon or ebay and not hpe
