Good gaming laptop that is $1500 USD or less

When it comes to desktops (and helping my friends pick out components) I can usually pick and build by myself, however when it comes to laptops, I'm lost. I figure that it would be wiser to come to the forms and get some ideas and suggestions from here.

I would like to look for a laptop that has

144 Hz 1080p screen

A decent graphics card build into it

A cpu that is a quad-core (hyperthreaded or not) that runs at 3.0 GHz or more

16 GB RAM

SSD (either 120 GB or higher)

HHD (500 GB or higher)

Earlier, I said that I could normally build a desktop without needing help and your thinking "Why don't you build yourself a desktop?" The answer frankly is that I don't have the space for a desktop. Hell, I don't even have a desk to properly use a desktop. The current laptop that I have is an HP with an AMD A8-7410 APU (2.2-2.5 GHz with Radeon R5 Graphics), 8 GB of RAM (2x4 GB running at 1333MHz) with 2 GB of that dedicated to the graphics chip baked onto the CPU, and it has a 600 GB 5400 RPM hard drive and playing Minecraft with OptiFine (because that is the only "demanding" 3d game I have) can barely hit 60 fps with most of everything set to fast and chunk rendering distance at 6.

Suggestions are appreciated, thanks.

Currency: look back up at the title of the post

Market: definitely not premium, something that's more bang for the buck

You can just build an ITX desktop? You're going to get more performance out of it, and the PC itself doesn't have to cost more than $1000 for an R5 2600 + RX 5700

Otherwise Find something with an i5 8300h or 9300h and a 1650 or 1060, start to lose a lot of value past that I think. Probably won't get a 144hz display though.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I could, but as mentioned before, I don't have a desk. The place that I eat, sleep, and play games at is the living room, which means no room for a monitor unless I want to sit on the floor and play games like that, which is not a comfortable experience.

Just hook the PC up to your TV and go for the couch gaming experience? Or they make pretty compact desks you can even roll around actually...

If I go that route (compact desk), then I would go with a 2nd Gen Ryzen 5 2700x, an RX 570, 16gb, of Trident RGB Ram (3200 MHz), Gigabyte B450 Aorus Motherboard, and everything else can be peferance (monitor, keyboard, mouse, case, ect.)

All that sound like a good combo?

That's more like an $800 PC, I'd probably just go ahead with the RX 5700 unless you really don't need much graphics horsepower, RX 480s/580s are like $100-120 on ebay

Crazy things like this exist, though I'm not sure why you'd want a DVD rack...

Just gotta double check that everything fits, an SFX PSU will make life easier, but you might need an ATX adapter plate for it possibly.

If you aren't worried about a PC that small then just go for an X470 MSI board, the B450 Aorus doesn't actually have too great of a VRM

And then maybe get a Q300L or Q500L case as it can work in many orientations, just don't want water cooling for it.

The Neptwin may need a separate(free from the company) AM4 bracket, but they might also be in the box by now.
