Good evening all,

About a year ago I bought a Vizio 5.1 Soundbar that... just isn't working out for me. The mids and highs are very underpowered, the controlling software is buggy and unpleasant to use, and the hardware itself has an annoying audio quirk that I have not been able to get to go away (once you start playing audio from any source, the sound will start... then cut out for two seconds... then kick back in again like nothing happened).

I'm in a place financially where I can afford to replace it, and I want to do it right. My budget is about $400. I am tied to the "soundbar" form-factor, as I don't have enough space in the room for big free-standing speakers. My primary concerns are longevity, sensible software control, and passable audio fidelity.

What-all do you guys use? Any recommendations?

black friday and go to sonos you will get around 20-25% discount, then buy a sonos beam, i have quite a few of them, for the form factor, it is an excellent product.. yes it is not perfect, but you get something decent for a fairly okay price, with a nice ECO system, and you have no issues with sound cutting out, and it works perfectly with airplay, over apps, and of course with ARC from your screen.
