PC Upgrade Time

Hello guys its time to Upgrade my PC: 

Im a heavy Pc user, my pc runs about 12hrs a day atleast. 

The most used Programms are: Opera, Maya/Blender/Substance Painter, League of Legendes and Ark Survival Evolved with Mods and Unreal Engine.

Dont dont intent on Streaming. 

Here comes my Question what would you upgrade in order to get better Performance in these Tasks. I got round about 400 Euro. 

 

 

Often crash in Substance Painter or in Unreal Engine. 

I thought about upgrading my CPU but im not sure if there is an option for ddr 3?

 

These are my current Specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 Watercooled 

GPU: GTX 1080

Ram: GEIL CL9-9-9 D3-1333 2x8GB

Storage: Samsung 840 120GB (Windows 10 Boot System)

Samsung 970 Evo NVMe PCIe M.2 250GB ( Ark Surivial )

Samsung 860 Evo 1TB (For Work)

Seagate ST31000526SV 1TB (Games)

Microsoft Storage Space Device 999GB (Games/Programms)

Powersuply: 600W

Mainboard: Asus Z170M-E D3

Main Monitor: Acer KG1 Ultra HD with 60hz and freesync (gets somethimes black for a few sec)

Splitscreen Couchcoop TV: Hisense 1080p

2. Monitor old acer 1080p

Your GTX1080 is still a really strong performer so there's no need to replace that.
Your quad core i5 6500 is going to be holding you back. Unfortunately nothing these days use DDR3 memory, it was pretty much dead when Skylake (i5 6500) came out with only a small number of motherboards supporting DDR3 for those CPUs - Most were DDR4.

You should be able to get a Ryzen 5 3600 + B450 motherboard + 2x8GB DDR4 memory within the 400 euro budget.

Okay and what about these quadro cards can i use them togther with my gtx 1080?
