Hey guys,

I'm new to the whole PC building thing.

I believe that my graphics card is my slowest component and I'm looking for an upgrade. Suggestions on a card that's not over the top for the system that I have. Using it mainly for gaming.

My system

MB: MSI X470 Gaming plus am4

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 Ghz

GPU: HIS Radeon RX 5700
MEM: 2x8GB 3000MHz

Thanks for any help

The RX5700 should be pretty good for 1080p gaming.

What games are you playing? What resolution/refresh rate?

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

Ideally your graphics card should always be your “bottleneck”. In an ideal world, your cpu usage should be less than 100% Per core, while your graphics card should be at 95-100% usage for max FPS.

your 5700 should be great for most 1080p gaming, and some 1440p. The question is are you playing at settings you want and are you getting the frames you want

AMD Ryzen 3950x under a Noctua D15S, 32 Gb G Skill FlareX 3200 DDR4 running at 3200 CL14, Gigabyte Aorus Pro 570 Wifi, Gigabyte 2070 Super hooked to a Dell U2718Q 4k HDR monitor & an Acer 1440p 144hz IPS panel of some kind, an Inland 1 TB M.2 PCIE 4 main drive, a Samsung NVME M.2 250Gb, WD Blue 500Gb  and 1 TB SSDs, Corsair RMX750, Rainbows and butterflies...
