1RSTPLAYER PSU quality

Hi all, a friend of a friend wants to sell me a 1RSTPLAYER "Black Widow" PS-700AX fully modular 80+ bronze PSU for 40€ (for comparison, here in Italy a corsair RM750 is 100€ on amazon). The PSU is brand new, he got it on a trip to Thayland. I read in another thread that 1RSTPLAYER is actually a reputable brand, but is this model any good?

 

Right now I have a corsair VS650 80+, which as I understand it it's kinda crappy. I've been using it for 3 years now, for several hours every day, and I feel like I should probably change it.

To begin with lets figure out what wattage you actually need so can you tell us your computer?

 

There's no point in replacing something bad with another something bad, this power supply does not sound like a reliable purchase at all.

The wattage of my components is around 400W, given the efficiency curves that I can find online a 700W PSU doesn't seem a terrible choice.

 

As a gut feeling it doesn't sound reliable to me either, but I'd prefer a more informed opinion.

It is, around half the price. I haven't bought it yet though.

As a hardware enthusiast Id pick it up for a spare after reading this thread and responses, but that's just me
