Monitor reccomendations

Leonard Smith

Morning all,

I've agreed to swap my Gaming Laptop for a PC that has the following components:

  • Thermaltake Core P3
  • Palit GeForce GTX 1080 Jetstream (8GB)
  • MSI X370 SLI Plus Mobo
  • AMD Ryzen 5 1600 CPU
  • 16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 3200MHz RGB Memory
  • PNY 120Gb SSD + 2TB 72000 RPM HDD
  • Corsair CX750M PSU
  • Windows 10

My plan is to upgrade the CPU to x370 eventually and add a bigger SSD.

But, i need recommendations on a monitor set up...

I know people will usually ask what is your budget but lets's just say i want something that will be suitable based on the PC spec.

I want something that will encourage me to game on it and something that is value (Probably the wrong word, not a rip off) for money even if it does cost a couple hundred pound.

Let me know your thoughts and recommendations.

Thanks,

Leonard

You can get a proper 144hz for this setup. I've been looking for a new monitor recently, so I've tested many of them in the stores.

I really liked higher refresh rate over higher resolution.

Idk if this gpu can handle 1440p@144hz.

There is a budget acer nitro ips panel that is 1440p@144hz (it is about 400-500$). Build quality is not perfect and there is noticeable lightbleed, but for me it would be fine for that money.
