RAW drive, among other problems

So i uninstalled some stuff namely battle net and blizz games (really dont wanna get into politics right now just need help). i turn my laptop back on, it right away begins to repair the D drive my HDD, when it finishes and finally boots i appear to be locked out of everything on the C drive my SSD and my D drives comes back as RAW, cant check disk (obviously) but can't partition either and its says when i try to interact with it i have specified a drive that doesn't exist. i can still see all the files that are there i just cant get to them, the one on the C drive that is and my desktop is blank save the recycling bin, i was however still able to get into bitdefender and run a full scan for whats its worth, came back clean, but it also clearly missed alot of shit and as predicted didnt even notice a D drive, which by the way still shows up under disk management, just again, RAW. I am totally stumped and really concerned, please help...

Could be a software bug. Could also be drive failure. Try disconnecting this D:/ storage disk and reconnecting it. May start behaving again.

im afraid to crack this thing open but i didnt spend all that time or money on training to bitch out now....

Should be easy. Connected disks are usually made pretty easily user accessible for installing/uninstalling.

 

What I'm looking to have you test here is:

1. Remove the HDD (D:/ drive)
2. Start the computer. Let it recognize D:/ is no longer there.
3. Shutdown
4. Reconnect D:/
5. Turn laptop back on.

If it still appears as RAW connect the drive to a different computer. If it's still RAW the drive could be dead/failing or something on the laptop could have corrupted it.

gotcha the other thing i worry about is why am i locked outa everything else, like wtf happened? both drives, no way... concerns me

From my experience this can occur when the system loses connection with the storage device. Be it a bad SATA cable or bad controller. So for example if you were to restart the laptop and it said "No bootable device found" that'd confirm that theory.

can confirm the D drive is deff shot, however C is still locked and i seem to be having issue getting into my bois now as well  gonna go right to the end game and try to reinstall windows

Run Hard Disk Sentinel to read the data about the health of the drives. Let us know what Sentinel says.

its telling me i dont have permissions to save and load file, that i need to contact an admin... did i get hit with a ransom attack!? i can still use my personal user file tho, which hasnt been messed with... im so confused

HDS says drive health is fine, and i ran the script and it found nothing

@AntiHerothe script needs to be run as admin (right click on it and run as administrator).

 

Sentinel says the RAW disk is healthy?

did run as admin, just didnt see i had to keep advancing it, sorry have abit going on over here. and no the disk is totally bricked, its an HDD i wrote it off at this point i can just replace it, now my concern is why is my SSD acting up and locking me outa shit and telling me to contact an admin

I recommended the script because your Windows might be broken.

Drive repaired all is well, my HDD storage drive is a paper weight now but the OS and C drive are back to normal, thanks!

You could be able to "repair" the HDD just enough to copy the data

 

Step 1: Connect the RAW hard drive to your PC.

Step 2: Click Start button and search "commond", then right-click one it and afterward press Run As Administrator.

Step 3: Type in Diskpart and then press Enter.

Step 4: Type partition_letter: /FS :NTFS and press the Enter key.

** partition_letter for example D or E, F, ...

This would have changed your RAW drive into NTFS file system and the data you have stored in it can be used again.

Well fortunately theres nothing in there important that I didnt have backups of, the rest is all game data I can redownload. I dont wanna fight with it anymore, already have a new drive shoved in there. But! I will definitely keep this information set aside for future use, very helpful, thanks again!
