Hi, I'm back with another request for a build, this time the price limit was £800, two important notes, it's £ (I get a lot of $ builds haha), and also it's to include monitor, keyboard & mouse. Wireless network card isn't needed, along with headphones or windows :)

This is what I've slapped together, any thoughts on it? Looking to do gaming on newer titles in the future at high settings (the guy says he's not bothered about turning to medium), primarily he'll be starting on six siege (which from my -excellent 4 minute- research should be absolutely CLAPPED by the system)

I appreciate any advice you guys give, I've been in and out the technology scene for a while now so I'm rusty, I took a look into Ryzen 3rd gen but it didn't seem like any of them would be worth it - feel free to correct me on that or give an intel alternative :)

Case Note: He said he's not bothered what it looks like, he just saw the H500 and said that it looked "good enough".

Thank you,

vK

I appreciate your enthusiasm, the 980 ti is something I'll look into. A note I have, there's no mouse included on your list - and the £800 limit was already pushing the £700 limit so I'll have to wait a little longer and see how prices fluctuate, thank you for your suggestions though. Although, I must confess, saying "terrible parts" and only changing 3 is a bit... Much? (I'm ignoring the case because the case could be a pizza box.)

The case is important because of airflow, airflow significantly affects the cooling, which improves performance and longevity.

I got carried away there sorry.

And i didn't include a mouse because you didn't include one too.

That's fine, it's a valid point about airflow. And the devastator bundle (while cringey and such) it includes a mouse :P

Yes it's a bit better GPU.

I change the SSD because the A400 is awful, the WD Green is better I think.

This PSU is really good for the money.

Keep in mind that the mb511 comes with only a rear fan I think so you would need to buy at least 2 fans for front intake.

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/qCH323/arctic-cooling-case-fan-afaco12000gba01 these one for example, cheap, good airflow with a 6 years warranty.

I recommended the same case :D

It's a good case,good airflow.

I recommended a NVME SSD,4 times faster than the normal SATA SSDs,

And the 980 Ti beats both the 1070 and the 1660 Ti,It's unbeatable at this price point.

My friend isn't too keen on the second-hand nature of CeX, what do you think of the P400 case? I'm trying to find a good balance right now because an NVME would be a lot faster, but £9 is actually a problem right now hahaha :P So I'm looking at alternates for other parts

CEX test everything and provide 2 years warranty on the products they sell,

I bought from there in the past with no issues.

The P400 will suffocate your system.

A NVME is for better cable management imo, you won't notice a real boost in windows booting and games (maybe 2-3s better ?) :P especially the one that i added which has the same performance as a SATA SSD :D

The p400 doesn't have a really good airflow, the p350 or p350x would be another option.

Alright, my friend isn't keen on the aesthetics of the case you provided (I know I said he's not bothered, his quote was "Looks a bit weird won’t lie"), but if there's no alternative then I guess I'll just have to have a bigger discussion with him.

Looking at the P350x right now, he seemed to like that case more than the P400 and the MB511

It's a bit more expensive (15£) but it's worth it. You would also need to add 2 fans (1 rear, 1 front) because it also comes with only 1 fan. It's still a great case :)

It's OK but not as good as the MB511 .

Yeah I can give me friend a couple of my old fans, 2 140mm corsair AF140s, they should get the job done for the time-being.
