TV or Projector

I'm dreaming about my future and the theater room we will soon have. My screen budget is $3500.

My wife and I went to Costco and she says it os too small. So we are looking into projectors... I don't recognoze any of the brands. I'd prefer short throw and low maintenance. Anyone have any ideas?

82" is too small? Dam, your wifes' got quite the size requirement. Projectors have many disadvantages. You need a clear white surface, big enough for a projector. Any external light will ruin the experience. You better have a way to completely block external light.

projectors seem like too much of a pain IMO

but I really don't see how 82" is ever too small...

lol but true and honestly you want quality picture stick with tv. the projectors that have anything close to 4k tv cost way more and its a pain in a ass

Dont they make 100 inch TV's yet? Might be a bit better. Though you might not find it in a retail store, that might be an online only item. Because they dont exactly be flying off the shelfs. I remember working at Sams club and we had an 80" Sharp 1080p panel. This was just about when 4K came out. Im going to tell you, we had 3 of those fuckers in stock and I think we may have sold one in the two years I worked there.

if you go projector. yes a good projector is needed BUT a good screen is key.  and your price range should get pretty damn good in both areas
