Enabling virtualization (VT)? For emulators (Android)

Hey

So, I installed a emulator awhile ago, and saw the popup saying I should change something in my bios, bc when ever I would launch any kind of emulator its incredibly laggy.

 

I tried NOX, Bluestack and MEmu and they all are telling be to unlock the VT or enable it.. 

 

This is like link they send me on how to do it? Is it legit or is there another way

Also the Emulators are making me locked to only use 1 CPU core that is why I lag so much, But on my Laptop theyy are fully unlocked

For basic virtualization on the Intel platform you need to enter your BIOS and enable VT-x. Your CPU needs to support it though (I'd say most do but some do not).

What CPU do you have?

Hey, 
Yeah I have AMD. 

I did the checker and yeah its saying I dont have anything enabled. 

is it this "Hyper V" I should be googling on how to turn on?

The AMD platform you need to locate & enable "SVM" this is AMD-V. It's the AMD equivalent of VT-x.

Alright sweet, So just look for a guide on how to enable "SVM"?

That would be a bit difficult as everyone's motherboard BIOS are different. You'll need to search for it in your BIOS. Generally under an "Advanced menu" then CPU related settings. Your motherboard manual may contain information on where to find it.

If you go to page 52 of your motherboard manual you'll see that the SVM setting for virtualization support is located under Advanced -> CPU Configuration.

Do you know what it does do when it gets turned on? Like is there a reason why you wouldnt want to have it on? Im not sure what it even does.

Well...hold on now. Reading the description:

When this option is set to [Enabled], a VMM (Virtual Machine Architecture) can utilize the additional hardware capabilities provided by AMD-V. The default value is [Enabled]. Configuration options: [Enabled] and [Disabled].

So AMD does enable it by default...it should already be enabled...crap. A little Googling says that the software applications can have problems recognizing that it's enabled. It's worth checking to be sure that it's enabled but it most-likely already is.

 

One video guide I found said try using ARM instead of x86 emulation. I don't emulate android on my own time so forgive me if these aren't options for you.
