Wraith Prism Cooler

JapaneseTuna

My cooler’s little ring around the fan on the wraith prism cooler keeps turning off after boot. I don’t really care, but it messes up the look of the pc but somehow improves thermals?

The ring might be disabled as its actually controlled trough software. It should just be red when not configured or when running some other OS then Windows. Maybe you can get it back on with the following software see link.

@Jarno. I’m never opened the software

its like Ike it’s own mind it decides whether I get the default rainbow led colors or not

like I said when it’s off it significantly improves thermals and my cpu become a lot less hot

That is really strange behaviour.... Leds can use some power but not so much that it can be noticed or the sensor has to be on a really strange place but even then i doubt.

@Jarno. Is there any way I can maybe fix this problem?

It’s weird and when the less are on the CPU temps rise up instantly on a load. It also cools my Graphics Card which I don’t mind (it’s extra cooling)

Only use the USB connector for RGB. I was having issues with my wraith prism until i disconnected the 4 pin rgb cable. If you already did that, try using the software. https://landing.coolermaster.com/pages/amd-ryzen-wraith-prism-rgb-software/
