LIAN LI PC - Q39 Problems with VGA

LJA

Hi, I'm having a problem with my VGA. The case admits large VGAs, I have an Asus Strix 1080 ti installed and working there, but the installation was almost imposible. While it fits, it has the slots and the length to accommodate it...there are two metal parts to install the Tempered Glass that obstructs the installation of the VGA or makes it impossible to remove it alone. I had to install the VGA in the MOBO and then after some effort I managed to installed both at the same time. This is quite dangerous for the hardware and frankly far from practical if I have just have to install a new VGA or troubleshooting the one installed. Am I doing sthg wrong here? is there a way of install it I'm missing or is just a horrible design issue?

The one in the title, a Lian Li PC Q39...I'm starting to think that it is a flaw in the design

From the spec sheet:

specs-10-1000x500.png.32fc28ab453e02611e4f5f6d6e70f27f.png
Supports up to a 300mm x 60mm card. The ASUS Strix 1080 Ti is 298 x 134 x 52.5mm. Lianli doesn't say what height card is supported though, but they do say the max CPU cooler clearance is 120mm. Meaning it can support a tower up to 120mm taller than the mobo. The STRIX card is 134mm, makes sense that it would interfere with the side panel.

and it does interfere, they could just easily fix that, more when taking in account that they design it for very long VGAs, it's sad because I love the case and many details from it, but I don't know how to solve this issue

They obviously didn't design it for the GPUs with massive PCBs that AIBs make. The MSI Gaming X, EVGA FTW, and ASUS Strix PCBs alone are usually much bulkier than the FE PCB, let alone the cooler.

But the Strix is not that massive, no triple slot, etc..it's not small of course, but neither is massive..in fact if they had positioned the metal parts to grab the TG in a lower position this case would fit almost any big card out there...what mod, or solution anyone can think of to try to solve this issue?

I'm adding a pic where you can see the metal parts (highlighted with orange) that hold the TG, these fellas obstruct a normal manipulation of the VGA...they could just put them in a lower position that would only avoid the use of three slot VGAs
