Hello. Im now looking for a new gpu to further improve my gaming experience. I have recently made upgrades to my computer, allthough probably not the best ones. Im not too fond of spending money so i like to get as much efficiency as possible for as little money as possible. So i was wondering if i could get some experienced help on choosing my new GPU as i dont have the most knowledge about computer components etc.

Here are my current specs;

-Prosessor    AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Six-Core Processor, 3600 Mhz, 6 kjerne(r), 12 logiske prosessor(er)
-Motherboard    ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING
-GPU                 AMD Radeon R9 200 Series --> Saphire Radeon R9 290 4GB TRI-X OC

-Also running 16GB RAM

So then im wondering, what GPU could i get the most out of with this setup, if we're looking at a max price of 500 dollars?

Any help will be deeply appreciated, thanks in advance :) (first time on this forum so if i misplaced the post, my bad)

Thanks for the tips! Read up on them and RX 5700 seemed like the one for me, i got quite confused though, due to there being so many different versions of it under different names. Does this have an effect on anything or is it just the name?

The different names refer to manufacturer and model, some are better than others. The cards with one fan and a closed shroud are going to be blower style cards and are subpar in terms of thermals. You want one with at least two fans as we like to call an aftermarket cooler. Of the ones in the picture you posted the best option would be the PowerColor Radeon RX 5700 Red Dragon(the one on the bottom right with two fans) as it is the only there with a non-blower style cooler.

Main Desktop: CPU - i9-14900k | Mobo - Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | GPU - Sapphire AMD RX 7900XTX Nitro+ 24GB RAM - Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 64GB 6400mhz | AIO - Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360mm | PSU - Corsair RM1000X | Case - Hyte Y40 - White | Storage - Samsung 980 Pro 1TB Nvme /  Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus 4TB Nvme / Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB Nvme / Samsung 870 EVO 4TB SSD / Samsung 870 QVO 2TB SSD/ Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD|

TV Streaming PC: Intel Nuc CPU - i7 13th Gen | RAM - 16GB DDR4 3200mhz | Storage - Crucial P3 Plus 1TB Nvme |

Phone: Samsung Galaxy S24+ - Ceramic White 512GB |
