It will only show up for some people, depending on how your browser is rendering the font and whether the topic is unread or not.

 

It happens because a fixed width is allocated for the comment count, so it starts overlapping when the count is too wide. I've made some changes to the way it works so that it will now dynamically scale based on the space required, and am planning to release that some time in October, along with a few other minor changes.

I'm using an iPad Air 2 (on iPadOS 13.1) and Google Chrome Version 77.0.3865.69
