Questions regarding using Pihole

MISTERDIEABETIC

So I started using pihole on a pi zero last week and I had a question. Any idea why my Samsung TV keeps sending a request for "samsungcloudsolutions" every 5 seconds?

It accounts for over 90% of the traffic on pihole and I just don't understand why it's doing it that often.

Contact Samsung and ask them.

CDN at the beginning of that link stands for "content delivery network" if I had to guess it's probably either:

1. an Ad server that samsung controls what goes to your TV

2. a content relay of sorts to route all traffic through their server so they control the content.

EDIT: I honestly want you to try blocking it and report back what happens. :P

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

Thanks! I was curious as to what the "CDN" meant.

And just for shits and giggles I did block it just to see if there are any adverse effects ?

(Nothing right off the bat)

There is no enemy. The foe on the battlefield is merely the manifestation of that which we must overcome. The doubt, and fear, and despair. Every battle is fought within. Conquer the battlefield that lies inside you, and the enemy disappears like the illusion it is.
