New PSU questions

h3xlay

Hello,

I am about to buy a new PSU and i have few options, so please guys, i need your opinion. I have actually 2 options for now:

  1. Corsair TX850M

  2. COOLER MASTER V1000 80+ GOLD

both are like new, CM is newer (and i know he's good seller also), also price difference is very low, so i don't care about price as long as one is better then other.

Thanks in advance

P.S it should power 9900k (stock for now) and 1080ti (oc), so in reality i might not need 1000w, but i do aim for top quality

You don't need more than 500W. What on earth do you plan on doing with 1000W??

You're looking at used PSUs? How much do they cost?

Either would be fine...

Definitely no need for 1000W. Would only need that if you were doing multiple GPU set up and heavy overclocking.
Don't know how much those used PSUs cost, but maybe instead look for lower wattage brand new units instead. At least then you'll get warranty on the PSU.

I assume he's selling the older V1000? Is it full modular or semi?

It's quite hard to tell a price on $ basis, but if i just plainly transferred it

v1000 costs about $98

tx850m costs about $78

P.S and i can check both on spot and turn it on and so on... before i buy

Sadly local stores does not have those branded and high tier psu's, if they had they would have price like: amazon price + shipping price + border tax + profit

The new one is vastly superior. The old yellow one isn't worth considering

:D:D Georgia... where prices are insane :D  But we have forum where people do sell new, used and like new products and you can check it before you buy. If i could to buy it from amazon, i'd do it for sure, but i can't and i should search for and .... well, so even tho i know i do not need even 850w or 1000w, it's opportunity with good price so that's why i ask

So there are no online shops in georgia with decentish prices? Have you checked neighbouring countries then? Russia might have some pretty big retail stores that send abroad?

Google maps gives quite a few IT stores but I can't find the websites for some reason

Considering current situation between Georgia and Russia, it would be impossible to ship any product

Well there's always Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan ;)

If price exceeds certain range there is a border tax, so either way i have to pay it, so why i should buy anything from neighbour country when it will be same as buying from Amazon? i'd go for Amazon
