Hello,

I have finally decided to build my first PC. Have in mind that I want to  future proof at least a bit, so that I don't have to buy all new components the next time I upgrade. To make your job easier in roasting my build or giving me a helpful advice I will start with completing the bullet points required:

1. Budget & Location

Budget is 1300-1500$ max, but even if I am going to spend that much money it would be over a few months, though I'd like to get the pc sooner, so if you have suggestions how to go below the current number I would be very happy :)
I am currently in Montenegro, country in the south east Europe. Not many items are available here, or if they are, then the price is at least a 100$ more than in foreign countries. Amazon doesn't deliver either and every online order over 150$ is costing me at least 50$ more to ship or pay customs fee. This site has listed store prices of stores which I can actually visit: www.itsvet.com.

2. Aim

I am currently working as a back-end developer while studying computer science. But of course I am going to play a lot of games too, so I'd say the focus for this build is primarily gaming. The studies and work require a decent RAM, storage and CPU speed as I'm sometimes working with huge online databases and I need to run programs fast. As far as games go, I'm not really picky, from AAA titles to Minecraft and indie games.

3. Monitors

Just one for now. Maybe add another one at some later time. I had already bought one: It's a QHD, so 1440p, 1ms, 144hz, TN panel with VSync.

4. Peripherals

I will buy them too, so I'm open for suggestions but they don't necessarily need to fit given budget. No need for an OS.

5. CLEAN BUILD

THE BUILD (doo-doo-doo-doom
:O):
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 [200$]

MOBO: ???
GPU: PowerColor Radeon RX 5700 XT Red Devil [500$]
PSU: Thermaltake toughpower grand RGB 750w [120$]
Case: Fractal Design Meshify C [120$]
RAM: 2x8GB - 3466 or 3600Mhz (at least 16CL) [140$]
Monitor: Listed in the text above, it's a panel from HP, 1440p, 1ms, 144hz refresh rate, has VSync and a TN. [already bought]
Memory: an M.2 ssd, probably samsung evo 970 (256GB) + 1TB hdd [180$]

CPU Cooler: ???

I will be going to Sweden in a few days where I'll grab the GPU and RAM for sure, and maybe some other parts too, depending on your input.
I wanted to ask advice on what motherboard to get, I've seen a lot of suggestions for b450 ones like tomahawk max or pro carbon ac, but there's been a few x470s too. The important things are VRAM and heat when choosing as far as I can understand. I genuinely don't know what to pick, and I may be able to buy it only on this trip in a few days.

Another question regarding the case airflow, since the GPU is 300mm long and can get a bit hot I know it's gonna be quite crowded in there and I'd like to know what would be the best approach for cooling. So far I've boiled (hehe) it down to a these options:
1. A cpu fan: Noctua NH-D15 + 1 or 2 additional case fans on the top of the case (the case has 1 intake on the front, and 1 outtake on the back). However this option is the priciest out of all, Noctua is 120$ here, and the two fans maybe 30$. Plus: Noctua is great and everything but man if it isn't the ugliest color ever. So any better looking, same performance, alternatives for Noctua are more then welcome.

2. A 240 radiator on top of the case to cool the cpu + 1 or 2 case fans to add to the front [100-110$]

3. Just go all out on case fans, so get like 4 or 5, and use a stock one on the cpu. [60$]

Additional info, since the GPU is red/black, I will be going for that aesthetic with the rest of the build so keep that in mind when suggesting the cooling parts. Or if u have an idea what goes well with red and black I am more then ready to hear it, since I have looked and looked for a third complementary color but couldn't quite find it.

So, there it is. Feel free to ruin my day and make me question every decision I made during this build, I'll be here to take it.

Peace :)

You sure? You looked at amazon.it/.de/.es right, not amazon.com?

If your country is part of the EU then the European amazons shouldn't have any customs fees.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

If you mean European Union, nope, my country isn't there yet. :/ And I've looked at all the amazons bro.

Just now, Oalei said:

you can get a away with a cheap Cooler like 34 esport duo, gammaxx 400, raijintek aidos, etc its only a 65W chip iirc, even if its 95 those 3 can handle it.

And those would be good even if i upgrade to a more powerful cpu in the future?

The 1TB hdd seems pretty small. You might as well go all ssd at that point for the speed. 660p would be a good alternative: https://www.prisjakt.nu/produkt.php?p=4906050

The NH-D15 is excellent but you can save some money by going with a slightly worse but cheaper alternative like the Macho Rev. B: https://www.prisjakt.nu/produkt.php?p=2894845

The common airflow upgrade for the Meshify C is to add 2x 140mm's at the front for intake and move the front stock fan to the top near the rear as exhaust.

PW2's are good: https://www.prisjakt.nu/produkt.php?p=2122935

If you want more airflow, there's a High-Speed version: https://www.prisjakt.nu/produkt.php?p=5154112

There are plenty of good motherboard options. The B450 Gaming Plus doesn't seem too expensive: https://www.prisjakt.nu/produkt.php?p=4894207
