Realistically you'd be doing it for aesthetic and quieter operation. The reduced heat won't make a massive difference in terms of the GPUs life expectancy.

A water loop for a GPU like the RX580 is absolutely pointless. You will literally spend more money on the loop than you did buying that RX580 when it was new. You will barely get any performance boost. Your money would be better spent on a new GPU.
