So ,playing videogames over wifi is not an option for me anymore. One minute I could be having 50 ping and the next hit 1000s ,for no reason at all.

I 'd like to switch to ethernet ,but i don't know any way to do so ,that would not require me buying powerlines or a 10m cable ,that would barely reach my computer ,inside my living room (also i cant use powerlines since i don't have any free power jacks).

I have a phone jack next to my computer and also a tv jack (i think that's what it's called "i'm a real noob") and it also happens that both are also located next to my router ,inside the living room.

Also ,i might be able to get my hands on a 2nd router - modem.I have heard that there's a way to setup an ethernet connection without other equipment ,is that true?

Thank you for your time ,you're my last hope.

You can't run a rj45 cable across your room or in the walls, thats the best way to do it.

But if you can't do that , id use moca on the coax

Thanks for your reply ,i d use a long ethernet cable as a last option if there were any other alternatives. Also how can I use the coax line? What equipment do i need and also would it limit my internet speed?

moca adapters let you use coax, but ethernet is better, why not just run the cable?

lso how can I use the coax line?

You buy two Moca adapters. Bonded Moca 2.0 adapters should be able to do about 800 Mbps. The catch is Moca is Half duplex like WiIF. Meaning it only communicates 1 direction at a time. The other catch is, if you are using the coax for Internet and or TV service then you will need to make sure you put a Moca filter on the main line coming in. And yes, Moca will coexist with Internet and TV services, with the exception being Satellite TV, as it uses the bands that Moca uses.

I wont lie to you, Your looking about at least $160 USD for a pair of Moca adapters, that does not cover the cost of the filter which might be around $10 or less.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
