Part of start menu missing when using search bar

So dunno if it was a recent windows update or not but when im searching on my laptop part of the startmenu seems to be missing. The black bar on the left while searching seems to no longer be there. On my desktop its still there which has the settings and feedback button but its not there on my Laptop. Any ideas?

Yeah it's a known issue in that update for windows 10. Try to update your windows I think there is a fix out now

Just keeping this here as a backup Well first update was a bust, checked for updates again apparently theres a cumulative one. Started when it first went to 1903 i think so hopefully this will be the fix.

EDIT unfortunately none of the updates have fixed it. Still got a gap on the left when searching. The gap is normally where file explorer etc is if you weren't searching or settings and feedback is when you are. The gap currently has a video there because it was in the background for now but it shows that its not the normal black bar.
