6+2 pin is an 8 pin. Basicly it is PSU manufacturer's way of making their connectors more versatile.

Yeah, i know that, but one single 8 pin divides into TWO: 6 pin and a 6+2.

Since mi card requires 8+6 I plugged this single 8 pin to 6+2 + 6.

I was worried it couldn't handle the power, but it's functioning well right now.

What is the PSU? how many watts does is output and what kind of a rail is that 8pin on?

I've got a corsair cx600m 600w. I just plugged the 8 pin in the modular 8 pin connector (the only one) i don't really know what rail it is runninig on.

The lights on the power connectors on my graphics card are green, i just wanted to be sure it had stable power when it demands it.

Yeh that should be fine but aren't there more pcie connectors?
