Strix X570-E M.2 placement

Just got this board which has two m.2 slots (1 & 2). It also states:

 

PCIe x1        (2) v4.0 (2nd shared with PCIe x16-3)

 

I suppose this means I should use slot 1 for my m.2 stick. 

 

Does it make any difference if I use slot 2 instead? I will only be using one GPU 1660 card.

but if you dont know, stick to using slot 1

 

slot 2 should also work, at 3.0 x4 instead of 4.0 x4 (max, can fall back to 3.0) slot 1 can do. What you quoted is... not sure where you got that from, it just doesnt eman anything.

thanks. I got it from Asus review site. Will use slot 1 as I omly intend to use 0ne m.2
