Need help choosing the right gaming display and am out of my depth

Hello!

I am ex pc user that moved to Mac and regretted it profoundly, I ordered a custom pc for gaming ( mostly racing sims) and am looking for the best bang for buck display out there, I checked out ROG's 65" 2.5K$ monster but apparently there are too many flaws for the price. I had a look around but it seems most monitors are in a transition phase and I dont know when the improved ones will come, so question is, should I wait, if so how long do you think? or what should I get now?

Thank you very much!! all help appreciated. oh and my pc build can run 4 8k monitors so that shouldn't be the issue

If you're looking at 65" monitors, do you need one that large?  Ultrawides?  Multiples?  Or even the super ultrawides?

What setup do you WANT?  Then we can help find the right monitor(s) for it.

4 8K monitors?  Okay.

I've been waiting about 4-5 years.. trust me dont bother. The industry is perfectly content milking the ever living crap out of LCD.

You wont find a 'perfect' monitor. You will always end up sacrificing something, almost always picture quality related, especially when looking for a gaming orientated display.

Best bet, check out rtings.com and tftcentral reviews.

rtings has a little tool for searching through reviews by test results. Link below is for monitors, they also have one for TVs.

if ur looking for a LARGE display consider either the Samsung Q900 , its a 8k QLED, great quality and good figures for gaming. Also the Q90 which is the 4k variant.

At the same price range for the size u can get an OLED, so consider those as well if ur ok working around the so called 'burn-in', they are far superior to LCD, even the QLED LCDs.

thanks for the quick reply, I would either like 1 display, maybe curved to be just behind between by steering wheel and my pedals, so, rarely close, either I will get 1 display that is good enough for my use or go triple monitor, I am open to ultra wide, I dont know how much load a racing game puts out on a monitor but can't imagine it being as bad as a fps or something. what would you recommend ? I asked for my custom pc to run games smoothly at full settings without noticing frame drops or anything that will take away from my immersion and fun

my bad for the typo, I can run 4 4k monitors, here are my pc specs

@Newpcgamer1

A system may be able to physical connect and drive 4x 4k monitors on a desktop, but u can forget about running a game across 4 4k displays, thats 15360 x 2160. Thats way to much for even a 2080ti to handle.

Highest u could run with usable FPS is 5120x2160, and the only monitor that does that , that i know of, is the LG 34WK95U.

The majority of games support almost any resolution. All racing games will support 4k, its only when u go into different aspect ratios could support be lacking, but for racing games that shouldnt be an issue as they are more suited to wider aspect ratios anyway.

I am getting the sense that you may be assuming a lot or misinformed, based on a few things you're saying.

So if you wanted a good racing monitor, i would do as @IDprofile mentions.  3440x1440p 120Hz Ultrawide.   Your 2080Ti will push it well.
