Would you buy an OLED laptop? I cant seem to find any reviews on the new Thinkpad P1 gen 2 4K OLED displays.

The Thinkpad P1 gen 2 with 4K OLED is on sale. 1600+ USD I dunno if it is a good buy.

1600 for that spec pretty good deal. idk about the Quadro T1000 tho. 4GB vram is mediocre

What are you talking about?? The T1000 is essentially a 1650. Why would anyone want more than 4GB of VRAM on that kind of card? This is a business portable workstation, not a 1337 G4M3R L4P7OP

Agree,The only problem with OLED is burn-in,which is a big problem,i would rather choose a screen with more reliable technology like IPS LED.

4K monitor is pointless on anything below 21" in laptop distances, beat me

 

OLED burn in wise... a reason to use screensavers imo. That said my experience comes from an LG phone, not a laptop or Samsung panel so doesnt mean much

The Samsung OLED panels found in laptops typically fare pretty well - I've yet to find one that has severe burn-in issues
