So I bought a RSV-L4412 Server Chassis for server use (duh...)
Only issue I'm really hitting with it is that there are 3 hotswap drive cages that house 4 drives each.  Those cages have 2 molex input for powering the fan + harddrives.  But that is a total of 6 molex just for the drive cages.
I also bought GP-G750H for the PSU.  However only 1 cable, with 3 molex.

I do plan on using all 12 drive bays.  2 for Parity and 10 for my array with Unraid.
Running an i5-2400 @3.10GHz and my old AMD Radeon HD 6770 on the server.

Just figured I'd pop over here and ask for help as to how I can go about going from 3 to 6 molex.

Will the PSU be able to handle the 12 drives + 3 fans though?

Return the PSU for one that has more than one Molex lead.

The problem is going to be the load at the PSU all being drawn from one connector at the PSU side of things.

Would Sata Power to Molex work?
It's been more than 15 days so can't really return my power supply.
I wasn't expecting to hit getting 5+ drives in my server already so I let it slide thinking it'd be good till next year

That's an even worse idea.  SATA connectors have fewer +12V leads, usually smaller gauge wire and the pins on the connectors are much smaller and handle a lot less current.

Never heard of not being able to return a product at only the 15 day mark.

The right thing to do is return the PSU and get one more suitable for the job.

GP-G750H has 3

it's also a 750w 62 amp single 12v rail and 80 plus gold.

Did you bother to check what power supply they were using before typing?

and most power supplies that exist on earth with shut off when shorted on any rail. this tactic of scare mongering is quite strange to see on a computer forum especially when dealing with hard drives and fans which are the lowest wattage components in a computer save for a cd drive.

No.  It has three connectors.. ON A SINGLE MODULAR CABLE.

Reading comprehension much?????

I said ONE LEAD. Not ONE CONNECTOR.

Point?

The 62A is for the EPS12V and PCIe.  That is what most PSUs are powering these days.  SSD's use +5V. Not +12V.  That's why most don't have many PATA connectors.  It doesn't have 62A so you can daisy chain a bunch of Molex connectors onto a single cable.

I didn't say it was a bad PSU.  I just said it can't support that much load on a single Molex cable.

Did you bother learning anything about electricity, Ohm's law, etc. before responding to me?  Do you know the capacity of the pins on the PSU side of the cable?

You wish.

Then explain the burning on the photos I shared.

WTF is wrong with you?  Are you ignorant or just looking for an argument because your fingers need exercise?

I find it both ironic and tragic all at once that the person who once tried to call me out for "mansplaining" is now trying to "PSU-splain" something to jonnyGuru while they pretend to know best.  Not sure where this whole idea came from but oh gosh, do tell us about how you know way more about PSUs than the industry expert.

It's not only at the 15 day mark, it's only till the 15 day mark, after that has to be an issue with the device to be able to return it.
As for why I asked about the SATA to Molex was both use 12v and 5v, and that I don't use any of my SATA Power leads, as everything in the case is molex, which is kinda annoying.
