You should have ideally uninstalled both Logitech Gaming Software and Logitech G-Hub simultaneously as both clash for priority of control for your peripherals. I know, it sounds stupid, but it's Logitech's thing now that they're trying to migrate everyone to G-Hub, but I digress.

Uninstall both programs, reboot for a clean start to make sure all Logitech Gaming Software dependencies are cleared, and install Logitech G-Hub only.

Oh, my mistake there.

So when you launch up G-Hub, are you not given a setup prompt like this below?

So are you just completely stuck on a black page? How long did you wait before concluding that it's stuck?

You're not able to see this page here? I recommend running in administrator mode to see if you're able to get to this page below:

Try run it in adminstrator mode and see if it launches anything, rather than simply double-clicking the .exe.

I took to the Logi forums, and found these steps:

  1. Press Window + R, or, simply press start on the screen.

  2. Type in "regedit" without quote.

  3. Navigate (plus sign on the left) to "\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall"

  4. Right click on "Uninstall"

  5. Click on "Find.."

  6. Type in "Logitech G HUB" without quote

  7. Window should have highlight folder call "{521c89be-637f-4274-a840-baaf7460c2b2}" this may be different on your machine.

  8. Click on step 7 folder ({521c89be-637f-4274-a840-baaf7460c2b2})

  9. Right click > Delete

  10. Done, now you can launch the installer to reinstall it.

I haven't tried them as my G-Hub is working so it will be of no use to me to try these, but do let me know how you get on if you try these steps.

Deleting Logitech G-Hub files isn't as simple as pressing 'uninstall' since like I mentioned earlier, Logitech software tends to have dependencies elsewhere. Based off these steps, you should be able to get G-Hub responsive.

Check your notifications and check the protection history.  It sounds exactly like the behavior you would see if Windows Defender was stopping it.  Nothing happens other than sometimes a real-time notification.

Just registered for this exact problem. I've never had GHub but did have the Logitech Gaming Software. I got rid of that because I wanted to use GHub but, nope... the launcher.exe won't even start, no matter what I do. I seem to remember even the Logitech Gaming Software giving me a similar issue several months back. I've tried safe mode, I've uninstalled everything Logitech related and even deleted every Logitech file in my registry. I can't even get to that black Logitech install screen asking me to agree to install it. I've tried running as administrator, I've tried compatibility modes, I've tried everything. I double click the .exe, the thinking wheel comes up by my mouse for like, 2 seconds and then nothing. LOL! I've seen so many people with issues like this when it comes to Logitech software, it's amazing they're still in business or that people buy their products.

I just tried it, and same problem.  I removed LGS, rebooted,  I also had  "logitech options" installed for my trackball. Removed that, rebooted, and still no luck.

Tried all the suggestions i could find,  CCleaner, removed anything logitech from appdata.

There is a .net error in the event log when it crashes.

*edit* I did get it installed. but it worked for a strange reason.  I use folder redirection to a server, so, my downloads were saving to a network drive.  I copied it to my C:\temp and ran it. and it worked fine.

I can even replicate it.  I uninstalled it, then rebooted.  It installs fine from local disk, but crashes from the network drive.

I had exactly the same problem, the event viewer showed problems with the d3d9.dll file when i tried to start the installer.
I found out that it was RivaTuner Statistic Server that came into conflict after the last update.
If you have installed RTSS, close it and restart the installation, it worked for me.

I had previously tried this and it didn't work, but out of the blue, I decided to try and it again and go figure, it did the trick. Very weird!
