Dissassembling a Titan Blower styled GPU?

Yea, I was putting together a theme for my system, and decided that the silver and green thing on the 780 Reference didn't work very well. I'm going to paint over things and etc I came to the GPU. Now it looks straight forward but I can't find anything online to solidify my assumption; is taking apart the Titan Blower style heat sync, from a 780 in particular, as straight forward as removing the allen screws? I'm afraid of taking it apart and reacting with, "Oh, well I'm stuck with a GPU I don't know how to disassemble or possibly even reassemble."

Anyway, is it really as easy as removing those screws or is there a dark secret in the heat sync that might completely ruin the GPU?

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

Here is a video Linus did to install a water block but the way to take the card apart is the same.

@L.E.D That's not quite what I was looking to do. The PCB can stay on, since I'd rather not get into that mess, but the metal frame around the heat sync instead. Basically, what was done in this image.

That video gave me somewhat of an idea since I'm fixing up the LED too, but not quite.

Be careful about voiding your card's warranty if you end up doing something non-reversible.

Fortunately, all I'm removing is some of the metal plating and, if it's easy to reach and remove, the LED. Nothing that could hurt the card itself, I hope.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.
