Best graphics card for i7-8700k

I have an i7-8700k and I'm looking to buy a new graphics card, but I don't know what my best choice is so there is no bottlenecking to be had. I would like to be playing 1440p 144hz and I don't have a budget yet so throw anything at me. Thanks

the 8700K can handle anything you throw at it. get the best performer you can, something like the 2080 super or 2080 ti.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

You need to specify a budget otherwise the only answer is a 2080 Ti since it's demonstrably the most powerful card for gaming available.

Titan RTX since there's no budget. 8700k atm is fast enough to handle all GPUs, until you talk about multi GPU setups which imo are a waste of money, even if they are sometimes faster.
