The 3600 is the way to go. It's more powerful than the 9600K, uses less power, runs cooler and doesn't suffer from the severe Intel security vulnerabilities. The AM4 socket also has an upgrade path unlike 1151 which is dead

I was planning on upgrading my processor to i5-9600K or AMD Ryzen 3600.

Someone recommended the AMD, but what do you think?

Also would AMD Ryzen 3600X be worth?

Price range max 300€.

 

I will upgrade the rest of the PC when I find out which processor to get.

 

My current specs:

AMD FX-8320

Ram 8gt

Gigabyte 990XA-UD3

AMD Radeon R9 390 Series
