C9 OLED capable of 120 hz on pc?

If I got the c9 would it be a decent replacement of the x27 ?

If ur going to use an OLED be prepared to baby it.

 

You'll need to adjust 'normal' habits, use screen savers, dont open windows like web browser fully, auto hide task bar , limit gaming sessions with high contrast static UI's etc.

 

As for the frequency, select TV can do 120hz but onyl at 1080p, and some at 1440p. the C9 CAN do 120hz at both 1080p and 1440p, but NOT at 4k

I’ve owned a C6 to C9. 
 

Never had an issue even with long gaming sessions because the screen does change often enough. 
 

Loading Screens, when you die, when you check scoreboard, matchmaking lobby - etc. 
 

All my games have a static UI but this is easily managed and not and issue.

This is not strictly true. 
 

It can do 4K at 120Hz but it needs HDMI 2.1.

 

So at the moment it’s limited but should next gen include HDMI 2.1 then it will be able to do this.

i know OLED as a tech can handle it but the >>TV<< as it is built can NOT.

That’s like saying a 1440p Monitor can’t do 144Hz unless it’s via DP because it has old HDMI limited to 60Hz. 
 

Same principle here. 
 

The TV can do 4K 120Hz.

My bad, should have phrased it better.

 

The TV uses HDMI 2.1. Devices currently dont. So you cant use 4k 120hz, it hasnt even been able to be tested.

As of right now all reviews i've seen have been unable to test 4k 120hz.

 

As of right now, while it can be advertised as a 120hz capable TV but we cant always trust that, much like many other manufacturers specs that cant be taken at face value as plenty of TV's before it have claimed 120hz and yet they have only been able to do that at either 1080p or its 'fake' 120hz motion handling.

 

So i should have said "we cant do 120hz with it then"

I don’t get why you decide to make a issue of that. 
 

Devices not existing yet is not the fault of the TV or LG. 
 

Doesn’t stop it being capable of it.
