What Is The Cheapest Place To Get A Pre Built PC?

Hi!

I want to get a gaming PC. I want to be able to customise it and get the website to build it for me but I would like to get one for a better price, does anyone know any websites?

The kind of PC I am going to get:

I5 4670k

gtx 780

8gb ram

water cooled

Yeah check local shops, they should know what they are doing and wont charge a whole lot. Then ask if you can be there when they build it which shouldn't be a problem and watch and learn.

Where I live, Fry's will build it for you for about $50 IIRC. NCIX is another good option. Lots of people will tell you to build your own, we can even help you pick out the parts and tell you how to put it together. It's actually pretty fun and you can learn a lot from it. One thing to keep in mind is sites like CyberpowerPC and iBuyPower usually charge you a lot more than a shop would.

I'd recommend getting a barebones kit from Newegg or Tiger Direct and putting it together yourself. You could probably get that stuff for cheap, especially an APU - based system. With APUs, at the moment, AMD is the way to go.

That plus a hard drive would get you started gaming for cheap.

If it can mean anything to anybody at any time, it means nothing.

I've seen some ads for PCs they sell, one had an i5, integrated graphics only, a 500GB HDD, and a Bitfenix Prodigy for the hefty price tag of $750 USD. Bottom line don't buy from those "1337 gaming PC" sites.

I've also heard a lot of bad experiences with cyber power. I considered buying one from there before I built mine, but too many horror stories of stuff arriving damaged.
