I have a regular PS4 with storage that's nearly full. I was looking to buy an external storage drive but I was conflicted between whether I should get a SSD or a larger sized hard drive (more games). Of course I want load times to be smooth and everything but I'm not looking for the fastest load times or fastest saves. Is a regular hard drive fast enough for normal gameplay? Or is the difference worth it to get an SSD? (Sorry if this is awkward, out of place or something; this is my first time using the site and posting anything.)

If you're used to the current speeds of your PS4, it's gonna just be more of the same for a hard drive. An SSD is nice but it's a bit of a luxury for a console.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

I was recently looking into expanding my PS4 Pro's internal storage, since it only came with a 1TB drive and, apparently, PS4s do not support TRIM-command, so you're not getting as much out of an SSD as you'd get on a PC. An SSHD seems like the better choice on the PS4, since an SSHD handles TRIM internally and provides a reasonable speed-up compared to a plain HDD.

I'd suggest on just upgrading the HDD of the ps4, since the fat and slim dont have a USB port at the back of the console. So i dont think it looks nice having a usb cable stick out of the front, and going around the back.

unless you have the pro. so you can keep things nice and tidy

There is no such thing as a bad PC, there are only BETTER PCs
