Samsung 970 evo speed

I have managed to get windows to use 2.4GB/s on moving a game file (rocket league) to a different stored location on the same storage device (D). Has any one else got higher write speed using a different NVME device in real world not bench mark. My pc spec is AMD 1600 overclock to 3.7Ghz (planning to get AMD 3900x once deleivery date is shorter), Nvidia 1070TI, GigaByte B350 Gaming, RAM 48GB (overclocked 2666MHZ) (2*8Gb Adata 2400MHZ) (2*16GB Corsair 2400MHZ) , Boot drive (Sata 3) -Toshiba Q300 (960GB), Secondary (NVME) -Samsung 970 Evo (500GB). I do know that I should have the NVME as a boot drive, but already was using the Sata one which was 700GB full at the time of purchase.

Hi there,

moving around stuff on the same disk isn't really a speed test. Why you might ask, because files get moved... well not exactly, only the index where they are to be shown will be changed.

Speed you can measure copying from one drive to another, or copy a folder like your Rocket League into a another folder on the same drive.

No Moving for speed testing drives. Never... because as well the performance when moving form one to the other drive will be lower than a copy, because move from one to another drive will copy and delete "the same time"

Main System:

Anghammarad : Asrock Taichi x570, AMD Ryzen 7 5800X @4900 MHz. 32 GB DDR4 3600, some NVME SSDs, Gainward Phoenix RTX 3070TI

System 2 "Igluna" AsRock Fatal1ty Z77 Pro, Core I5 3570k @4300, 16 GB Ram DDR3 2133, some SSD, and a 2 TB HDD each, Gainward Phantom 760GTX.

System 3 "Inskah" AsRock Fatal1ty Z77 Pro, Core I5 3570k @4300, 16 GB Ram DDR3 2133, some SSD, and a 2 TB HDD each, Gainward Phantom 760GTX.

On the Road: Acer Aspire 5 Model A515-51G-54FD, Intel Core i5 7200U, 8 GB DDR4 Ram, 120 GB SSD, 1 TB SSD, Intel CPU GFX and Nvidia MX 150, Full HD IPS display

(Abit Fatal1ty FP9 IN SLI, C2Duo E8400, 6 GB Ram DDR2 800, far too less diskspace, Gainward Phantom 560 GTX broken need fixing)
