yep, it uses vnc. Just search for remote.

isn`t there a better option that creates an entire remote session like on Windows' RDP?

you can do that with vnc on osx.Might be third party software, I know it works with jamf

I tried a whole pile of third party Remote Desktop solutions for macOS, but still prefer Apples own..

Yeah it hasn't been updated in a while, but it still works great in Mojave etc
