SSD shows 3 after install in laptop

Put a 256g SSD in my Alienware m17xR3. Had no choice but install Win 7 on it.

 

After install it now shows 3 instead of just the SSD & OEM hard drive.  I followed 2 full guides on how to do this properly step by step and neither had this issue after install was complete.

 

Is this normal or a problem? Did I do something wrong during installing Win 7? Is there a fix for this?

 

Would It be possible to clone Windows 10 from another brand PC and have the issue fix itself? Upon win 7 install it split up the drives and took up a lot of space with updates

F:\ Is where the recovery and boot information lives. You can remove the drive letter via Disk Manager but do not get rid of partition itself (unless you want to no longer boot into Windows).

 

I'm going to guess G:\ is a different physical drive.

Thanks, I did not know that. Ive been getting a lot of confusing and inaccurate information from some at the Alienware forum.

Such as it split itself up due to windows 7 being installed with my laptops hardware. Also its due to the mass updates that followed after installing Win 7 from disk, instead of cloning or using a USB(which apparently I cant anymore)
