Shure Pga48 Really quiet!

Sir Lags A Lot

So I just got a shure pga48 dynamic mic. I plug it in on the mic is really quiet. Like I can barely hear it with max boost and mic levels. I tried to install a reltek driver but I dont think it was compatable. My old mic was a bm 800 condenser mic. I also have a phantom power supply for my mic as well. No audio boards or stuff like that, just a power supply. I tried using the cable coming directly from my pc ut the same thing happens. Im clueless at what to do at this point.

What interface do you have? What do you plug your mic into to then plug it into the computer?

I do not have an audio interface. I then plug the xlr to 3.5mm into the mic port on the back of my pc. Also, there is this whine that comes from any mic i use. I think it is the audio card\built in one on my motherboard.

Ok, there's a problem.

You need an interface between your microphone and your computer.

The computer's audio input is not made to power a regular sized microphone, it's meant to power low quality pieces of trash like these:

I suggest this:

Have fun once it's set up!
