hi everyone,

i wanna buy a 2019 13 inch mbp and I don't know if I should upgrade to 16gb ram, I wanna do daily things like surfing, streaming, edit documents and some light video and photo editing.

I've no plan how efficient Mac OS uses ram, so I wanna know if you guys would prefer 16 gigs for most of the time just daily multitasking stuff....

pls no "just buy a windows laptop", I already own a windows desktop and have a hp probook g2 from my work (Im aloud to use it private).

8GB is probably enough, but if you're going to be editing and might get more into it in the future I'd spring for the 16.

Also depends on how long you plan to keep the laptop before upgrading. If you're one of those people who upgrade every 2 years then the 8GB will probably be enough. If you plan on having it for 5+ years I'd go for the 16 since applications keep using more and more ram.

16. Since it's not upgradable, you should always get one tier above base. That helps hold the value of the machine and lengthens the usability.

16GB you need faster render for video editing. renering 16 vs 8Gb is like 1.5 to 2x faster.
