Low FPS on High End PC

LewisJones28

Hi Guys,

Been going on for a while now but i seem to be getting lower FPS on games that i play, mainly CSGO. I'm averaging around 180-200 fps on relatively low settings.

The overall performance of my components seems to be running well (https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/19096763), as far as i'm aware there's no standout issues, and even if it is running slightly less i wouldn't expect this low of an FPS.

MY temperatures reach around 61 mid-game and under-load with other random spikes, but seems to sitting comfortably. Other games like Rust I seem to get around 60-90 fps with potato settings, and other settings lowered particularly, which again seems low, although it is poorly optimised.

Edit: Also, during playing games i don't usually have a lot of stuff open. Maybe a few tabs of stuff and different launchers but nothing that should be taking up much processing power when I am playing. If this is any use.

Would windows/xbox record be causing issues? I have a prompt come up at the start using windows + g to access it but never used it. Idk if this could be causing FPS to lower.

Any suggestions would be helpful, really would be nice to see me hitting the FPS i should be hitting with this build. Thanks!

Same here. about 100 FPS on GTX 980 in 1600 x 900 with spikes down to 60 and up 140
