Hi hope you can help :)

I have a, kind of old PC, 3-4 years I mean.

I'm looking for help with a few things

1: What would I like to upgrade?

All I have is working, but could use more power to run my 165hz 27 "2560x1440 monitor. I guess I just need to upgrade graphics cards, I'm looking at 2070 or 2070 super, but is that enough?

Is there anything else I should be upgrading right away, and is it the best upgrade I can make for an okay price?

2: New cabinet?

My current cabinet the start button barely works anymore (due to wear) and it a big plastic monster. So what would be a good looking cabinet, maybe small? that is easy to assemble with what I have? (fairly new to assembling myself)

For both 1-2 budget is -  it should make sense, so not low, but not high high.

I'm from Denmark if that makes any difference :)

Hardware list -

Motherboard - Asus Maximus Ranger 8

Get a Radeon Rx5700 xt and ur good to go rest of the system is still well useable for the next 2/3 years

I was about to say that system is still extremely capable in 2019. You really wouldnt need to upgrade anything on it, other than maybe replace that HDD with a 1-3TB ssd of some sort if i had the money. But a new GPU could be good, maybe something like the 5700xt. Maybe a vega 56/64 would be good for you.

Replace the case with a meshify C if you have to, although it's not needed. Your system is very capable still. A new GPU upgrade that would work would be a 5700xt. Also see if you can add in a 1.02 tb Intel 660p SSD, it's around $100 In the US.

I lurk

HP Spectre x360 13t late 2019
Core i5 1035g4
8gb ram
256GB NVME SSD
HP 24mh FHD Monitor

OnePlus 5
Jabra evolve 75
Razer Blackwidow Lite

Steelseries Rival 3

So I've been seeing everyone suggesting upgrading the GPU to a 5700XT. I don't agree. The build you have now is capable and should be driving that 1440p monitor pretty well with a mix of high settings in most competitive games. I have a Vega 56 which is a little faster than your 980ti and there isn't anything worth upgrading too that at a decent price. The 5700XT is maybe 10-15% faster but for $400 that's not a good price-performance buy for you. Something like the GTX 1080ti or 2080 is an upgrade you would really notice in games but those are around $700-800 (in the US. Probably close to $1000 in Denmark) and that's too expensive to make sense. You'll loose so much in value when the next generation launches.

I'd say stick it out until the next generation card around $400 (equivalent in Denmark) OR if you can find a GTX 1080ti around $450 (equivalent in Denmark) buy it then but for now, you and I have to play the waiting game.
