So I want to finally get an ssd to replace my aging hdd. But I want to gt an m.2 drive but I'm not sure what my board is compatible with. I have a gigabyte x470 gaming. Here's a link to he newegg listing

I just want a one tb drive. that's my one requirement

look at the read and write speeds and the type of memory used on the m.2. the cheaper m.2 have lower read and write speeds. also ensure you select m.2 pcie as these are the newest supported by your motherboard and significantly faster.

some of the drives are more expensive but have faster memory and better performance. spend a few bucks and select for example

it doesnt cost that much extra and performance is significantly better than the older models.
