Hey guys, so I've been wanting to upgrade my PC for a very long time, and I've never had the money to do so. However, I'm going to have a chance to very soon ( I'm getting a job ).

Here are my current specs:

i3 2120

Standard crappy old dell motherboard

16gb of 1333mhz ddr3 ram

gt 1030 ( the gddr5 version)

evga 500w psu

I can run games fairly decently...kinda.

Tom Clancy's r6 Seige @ 900p and mixed settings (some low some set to high) I get around 40 to 80 fps

GTA 5 all "normal" settings at 900p I get around 28 to like 45 ish fps

CSGO at 900p, and highest settings I get around 80 fps in Dust 2

What I would like to upgrade too:

Ryzen 2600x

Gigabyte B450M DS3H motherboard

8 or 16gb of ddr4 ram (I'm thinking either 3000mhz or 3200mhz)

I'll keep my gt 1030 for a lil bit, but was considering to upgrade to either a rx 580 or a gtx 1660

What do you guys think? Any advice is very appreciated, also keep in mind I will a pretty small budget...

Here is a link to what my build would be https://pcpartpicker.com/user/ItsHarox/saved/zwWPnQ

                          Thank you.

I would honestly get the non X version, 500gb ssd with no HDD, maybe think of RX570 or GTX1660 if the RX570 is like cheaper, for RX570 go for sapphire models if you could.

oh alrighty I'll look into it, thank you for the response, I've been switching back and forth on what CPU I want, at one point I wanted to get the 2200g I changed my mind to the 2400g but then saw the 2600x

if you cant get the 5 3600 just go for 5 2600 to save more money its more worth it tbh.

I'll recommend something like this instead...

Get a used rx580. They go around for like $100-130.
