I'd also add - get a custom cooler for the 5700 XT - the stock one is not great.

Thanks for the build! it's much better than what I was being able to build by myself.

Would all this fit on a Cougar case, and is there any downside on putting it there?:

No, as that's an ITX case. If you would like a small ITX PC I can do that as well.

It would be great. Are there any big drawbacks of having a small ITX like the Cougar? Excuse the noob questions, I'm not too knowledgable in the subject.

Thermals are the biggest problem with those types of systems

Interesting! Not a choice I ever see chosen. Is there a reason you'd choose it over the Dark Rock 4?

(In comparison the DR4 has a bit better RPM, and if it is remotely close to the pro version, the decibel levels will be a touch better. Though PCPartpicker doesn't list all statistics you could look at on coolers, so I'm curious.)

It is slightly better that the DR4 and comparable to DRP4.

Here are some links that might help you more.

HR 02 comes in different varients...

Also it has a beefier heatsink.

Rev-b is the latest iteration of hr 02

Baby Linus's video on First fanless HR 02??

Acoustics..

Reviews not in English though, but you can see their final results.

https://www.techpowerup.com/review/thermalright-macho-revb/8.html

It looks like the "Macho" variant certainly keeps up with the DRP3 and the NH-D15 in cooling.

https://fr.pcpartpicker.com/product/4TCrxr/thermalright-cpu-cooler-machorevb

Since the Macho variant is a bit pricier for comparison, I'll compare it to the DRP4.

They evaluate the p2p value high, since the MSRP must have been low when this was a newer unit.

It doesn't go over noise, though PCP does that for us

The DRP4 beats both the Macho and the MH-D15 on idle noise handily. The high end on the Macho reads lower, though the actual RPMs accomplished are lower too...

If it's the Macho rev 2 vs DRP4, I'll pick the DRP4. At the $65 level Hr-02 A vs DR4, I'm having a hard time finding any actual performance data. So that's a toss up :)

I like the all black look of the DR4 personally :) but that's up to the builder

For price to performance, I like the eSports Duo a lot though... It's a small step down for a large price drop.

What would I need to change from these builds if I want to fit them in an ITX case? Would extra cooling investment solve the possible thermal issues?

You could do something like this:

It's still a tower style Mini ITX rather than a box style, and the case actually has great clearances for the GPU and CPU Coolers. Quite nice looking!

It also comes with a huge 200mm intake fan and a 140mm exhaust. I'd say it's pushing air effectively. Add a very nice EVGA 2 fan GPU and a fantastic Dark Rock Pro 4... You shouldn't have any thermal issues.
