Cpu temperature high for its usage.

Oh boi, i'm gonna ask a lot of things today haha.

 

Here i go, my ryzen 7 2700x is on idle at 54 - 65 ( with things opened) 37 -45(totally idle) and 85(gaming)

 

I wonder how much it will go when it reaches 100% usage on renders, because while gaming it was at 14% usage !!!

 

I highly hope its wrong readings by msi afterburner.

have u tried using a different piece of software to read the temperature?

 

MSI afterburner in my experience doesn't read well on my board its at 49*C all the time, min and max.

Usage only means how often the CPU was not running the System Idle Process.

 

If you really want to figure things out, run Cinebench a few times in succession and see what your CPU settles at.

So usage doesn't mean the amount of work the cpu was handling ?

The best way for reading the temperature is direct from the bios but its a pain to keep booting into the bios and checking.

 

If u think its to high and if your confident enough to do so u could always try cleaning off old thermal paste and applying something a bit better.

 

What cooling solution u using?

The out of the box, Wraith Prism and it already had a thermal paste.

 

Its probably wrong, when i touch the air exit flows, i can feel its cold.

 

Gonna try the 3d mark to see what changes...

Correct.

 

I don't have any hard evidence but the reasons I can think of as to why are:

• It's invasive to keep tabs for every app on this information that, for the most part, isn't very useful to people most of the time.
• It's hard to precisely define in a meaningful way how much "work" the CPU was doing
• It's outside the scope of what Task Manager should be doing

Ok, after some 3dmark i got this, 90c being the highest temp, amd says for this cpu 85 is max... Idk, what do you guys think ?

after 85*c if its the thermal limit u will get thermal throttling which will slow ur system down.

 

since the processor isnt gonna hit a max of 100% for any prolonged time unless ur gaming or constantly running benchmarks id say u should be ok.

Do you think this is normal for this cpu, or should i get a complain about this one ?

Just one last thing. Remember when i said with chrome opened and other things temps get at 56 - 67.

How do u get AMD Ryzen master to work i still get the error.....

 

Ryzen master can only run with Virtualization based security VBS disabled in windows operating system which it is and still wont work.

Its been uninstalled and so has ryzen master and still wont work.
