2 fan vs 3 fan

I'm going to be buying a GPU soon and not sure if I should get the 2 fan or the 3 fan (3 fan $25 more), is there a big difference between a 2 fan or a 3 fan gpu, the 3 fan will fit in case. Searched online about difference but still confused (not because of fan count).

3-fan coolers will offer two benefits over a 2-fan one:

• Same amount of cooling for slower fan speeds, which means less noise.
• More cooling for the same fan speeds.

The amount of heat being dumped is the same, so overall this only affects the GPU temperature.

Depends. If you want to OC it, definetly get the 3 fan. I would recommend getting the 3 fan anyways, as with airflow, more is generlly better. More air = less rpm to same temp = less sound, but if you want to save 25$ and don't want to turn up the dials to 11, you should be fine with the 2 fan variant.

So true!!!  The fancy video cards now adays all have 3 fans but there are two fan cards.  Those are not tweaked or OCed out of the box so 2 fans is great.  But as StevePie said if you want to OC the card and run it at less RPM get 3fan and if you want good silence and NO OCing then get a 2 fan version.  This is just IMO.
