What do you mean by brd file exactly? Are you talking about the CAD drawing for the circuit board?

If so then who ever manufacturers this part will likely have one, but it may not be made in Autodesk, so may not be a .brd file.

@FlappyBoobsI mean the PCB file. Gerber or .brd

The PCB file is a CAD drawing. Gerber and Eagle are just 2 of the many programs that people use to make electronics CAD drawings. Like I said before you need to contact the manufacturer of the item you have if you want the drawing for it, and they will likely say no, so you'll have to make it yourself.

You could probably just make it, looks like a USB footprint, 3 leds in parallel, and a resistor.

Since ya asked

I couldn't use the 5050's, that requires a driver chip (and those weren't 5050's), so plopped white led's on it like the original.

and a note on manufacturing

- Make sure you check the design against your fab's design rules.

- Use a 2mm pcb.

- Plate the puppy in gold, its for longevity and better continuity.

Hey, so not being able to leave well enough alone, I have another 'potential' solution, hold on to your hats, your gonna enjoy this.

So, I'm under the impression you want a programmable, usb, rgb light, with a super small footprint, right? Heaven knows what for, but here ya go.

Background info

So, adafruit makes something pretty gosh darn close to what you want, plus extra bells and whistles. So what I did was, striped all the fancy stuff, rearranged the components and gave you a brand spank'n new pcb usb connector. Its really great how adafruit is open source, all hail the great adafruit.

Half Ass-ed Instructions

Spoiler

Buy a 'Trinket M0', de-solder the parts and re solder them onto the new board. You will have extra parts. The SAM chips come pre-flashed with a boot-loader, the heat shouldn't affect things any. Yes, this is extreme, but doable.

No, I didn't change the schematic very much.

Let me know if you need more of an elaboration. TAG @Faisal A your it!

Everybody else, feel free to poke fun at things, or improve them.

Edit: If you mange to get the boards fabricated, again, double check things, and use a 2mm board. Adafruit has ide setup instructions for the original board, this clone should be no different. Don't brick it, there's no easy way to re-flash things.
